Mittens and Booties in different bright colours
How to do the activity
Put different coloured mittens and booties on your baby. Gradually lift one of the legs and call out the colour of the sock. Say, “You know which colour is this? Yes, this is blue.” Repeat this with the mitten of one hand, then with the other sock and again with the other mitten. Names of the colours will slowly get embedded in the baby’s mind.

How to do the activity
Hold the baby to your chest so that the baby’s face is in line with your shoulder. Play different types of music and dance while holding the baby. You can follow various dance patterns. You should vary your pace as you dance.

3. Where the Light Shines

Bright Torch with strong single beam
How to do the activity
Stand by the door in a dark room with the baby in your arms. Now project the beam of your torch on the walls and the ceiling of the dark room. Move the beam from one wall to another, from ceiling to the floor. Observe how the baby will try to lunge towards the beam. Also notice how the baby moves his/ her head following the beam of light.
